Support of Software

 

Software Fixes: Software fixes is when a fault is discovered in the software. Small BITS will write a software fix, free of charge for this.

 

New Release: A new release is when added functionality has been added to current software or when a totally new software product has been released. Normal costs apply for this, but if the client already has bought one of the previous releases of this product, only a certain percentage of the new release need to be paid. This will then be like an upgrade.

 

Steps to follow when support is needed for software:

 

  1. Look on http://www.smallbits.co.za for any previous solutions posted.
  2. Phone one of the authorised resellers for telephonic support.
  3. When steps 1 and 2 has been unsuccessful, a  request can be made to the supporting consultant (authorised reseller) to come out to the site. Just keep in mind that the consultant can claim a callout fee plus travel expenses when called out to site.
